Ethos of the Institute: -

M. B. Barvalia Foundation is a public charitable trust established in February 1997 with the objectives of promoting holistic health and value based education.

Spandan focuses on application of vibrant and holistic homoeopathy in its clinical services.

Focus of the course is to build up sound conceptual base in homoeopathic physician through experiential learning.

Foundation has established holistic multi- disciplinary clinical projects, which gives first hand experience to the students to perceive various dimensions of sickness from multiple perspectives and participate actively in its holistic homoeopathic management.

1. MODULE: FOUNDATION

(A) Fundamentals:

- History of Homoeopathy and its current status from the standpoint of
   modern world.

- Concept of child from multiple perspectives holistic concept of man.

- Dynamic concept of health and disease and perceiving how disease
   is an imbalance in energy pattern.

2. MODULE: PERCEIVING

Focus of the module is on the fundamental tenants of the art and science of the system and case receiving

3. MODULE: PROCESSING

Case processing. Case anamnesis: symptoms classification and
     evaluation

Miasms - Miasmatic approach and its importance in
     homoeopathic practice.

Susceptibility.

Case Essence

Mental state comprehension.

Hahnemannian Classification of diseases (Organon of medicine)
     correlations with modern medical knowledges.

Concept of stress, Adaptation Syndrome, and its implications
     in homeopathic case processing.

Suppressions and how they occur. Types of suppressions,
     syndrome shift and its Homoeopathic implications.

(A) Follow up Analysis- Critical remedy response evaluation

(C) Comprehensive case management - Planning and programming
      of treatment and deciding auxiliary modes and ancillary measures.


5. MODULE: CONCEPTUALISATION

This module will give an orientation to the learner about case conceptualization.
Physician utilizes his knowledge / experiences for the various clinical actions he releases. His capacity to abstract, integrate and logically correlate from various dimensions of the clinical situations. Through analysis of clinical experiences of case management, sharing them in the group and evaluation from seniors help this process.

Since foundation has evolved multidisciplinary holistic superspeciality projects in various fields viz. developmental disability, mental health, thyroid, tuberculosis, psoriasis, HIV/AIDS etc. it is possible to provide forum for advance learning. Student's exposure in this area helps to develop this faculty and orients him well towards case conceptualization. This helps to cultivate aptitude towards research. Fellowship would enhance this gain.


Methods and Technique:

There will be online instructive lessons with strict time schedule.

Online case material with a set of objectives and directives.

Comprehensive reference guidelines so that student will require
     to have library and undertaking basic readings.

Active participation in the interactive academic forum evolved
     by Spandan bulletin board of the spandan's website will help
     in evolving this unit.

Compulsory participations in workshop organized by the Institute
     in India.


We will organize such programmes for 10 days twice a year or 15 days once in a year.

Outline of workshop:

An intense clinical training based course is addressed to practical training in handling the problems. Course is designed specially for western homoeopaths and students to offer step-by-step approach to applied homoeopathic practice. It will highlight case taking technique, applied philosophy and applied Materia Medica - including polycrest and smaller remedies.

TITLE: Spandan's advance fellowship Programme in HIV Disease.

INTRODUCTION:

HIV disease is a complex sinister illness, which has deep impact on various organs and systems.

The number of persons getting infected with HIV is alarming and worth thinking about. In India the HIV epidemic is now 18 yrs old. It has emerged as one of the most serious problems for the nation. At the same time therapeutic management of HIV in modern medicine is deficient. Hence it is a challenging task for Homoeopathic to evolve proper approach and rational therapeutic guidelines to manage the illness. We have 10 years of experience in managing the HIV disease. On that basis we have evolved comprehensive guidelines for holistic management of this illness.

Based on these clinical experience to help homeopathic physicians, we have designed fellowship programme.
